O Brother, Where Art Thou (2001)

I can’t count how many times I’ve seen this – it’s good every time. My youngest is reading the Odyssey for school, so it was time. The parallels to the Greek story are plentiful and bring humor, but also a lot of sadness to the demons and devils that we have had in our history that continue to resurface today.

The soundtrack has many songs I want to learn on banjo, rewatching this film reminded me of many I know and many I hope to learn.
