Reflection

This was a beautiful morning run. I started slow and cold and gradually built up a little speed, but not much more. The goal was to finish and run another day. While running I watched for birds and saw brewer’s blackbirds, crows, Canada geese, scrub jays, domestic untitled geese up to no good, lesser goldfinches, and chickadees. The Cascades were in the distance with Mount Jefferson in sight, but diffused with morning sublimation from the frosty fields.

I did an early start and am glad I did - far less stimulus overload at the beginning and I just had some time on the road without the crowding.
